Master Cleanse Diet Reviews: Does it Work?

The Master Cleanse Diet reviews have been a source of constant controversy among weight loss aficionados. Well, it's not the reviews that were the main subject for disagreement, but mostly snippets of their content. Well, as long as you read all the content below, you will find out all the information that you need to know about this controversial weight loss solution.

To be honest with you I have read a large number of them because the reviews were a constant source of fun for me. Opinions were so different and so far from the truth that I was almost amazed by what the "reviewers" advised their readers. Actually, this is precisely one of the reasons why I am writing this right now.

I want to make sure that as few people as possible end up reading the reviews that I've read and instead read this one. Having proper knowledge about this diet is essential in my opinion as it is such an extreme one. Well anyway, this being said, let's get down to business.

What is the Master Cleanse Diet ?

So, first things first, what is this diet exactly. As you may have heard, this diet consists of only 4 elements: filtered water, lemons, cayenne pepper and grade B organic Maple Syrup. Well this much is true and if you've read this somewhere else, you got the right information.

At a first glance, these clearly look like the ingredients of a diet meant to supplement or replace some of your meals. Well, let's just say that if you think this, you couldn't be more far from the truth. As such, let's see exactly how this diet works because this is where things really start to get interesting.

How does the Master Cleanse Diet Work ?

The whole "diet plan" involves you "eating" only a mixture made from the ingredients above for a period of 4 to 14 days. God forbid you manage to do this for two full weeks in my opinion. This is one of the things that started the heated online debates - the duration of the diet.

The people recommending this weight loss solution assert that this drastic change in your eating pattern is the only way to rid your body of all the toxic substances and modern day taste enhancers.

If this was planned to go on for only one or two days then there wouldn't be anything wrong with it. However, doing this for two weeks is just as healthy as it sounds. IT doesn't take a genius to realize the effects of such a diet on your stomach and on your energy level.

Moreover, doctors have stated time and time again that if you are healthy, your body doesn't need any kind of outside help in order to remove all the waste from your system. Apparently, if your liver is working you can trust it with all the "toxic waste disposal" duties.

Also note that if you go on consuming 6 portions of the mixture above for too many days, you will probably also lose muscle tissue. This almost makes it not worth the effort because, as we all know, it is much harder to build muscle than fat. Side effects also include dizziness, headaches, reduced energy levels, and diarrhea.

Does the Master Cleanse Diet Work ?

Even if all of the above is true, there is something that Master Cleanse System promoters always used in order to shut their antagonists up: the fact that this diet works. This is stated in almost all of the Master Cleanse diet reviews that I've read and well, no matter how you look at it, it seems to be the truth.

If you stick to it for many days, you will eventually lose a lot of weight. This is normal and it is also to be expected. As you will be having only lemon juice with maple syrup, your calorie intake will drop like a rock.

You will create such a huge calorie deficit that losing weight will be inevitable. To be honest, this is the only thing that this diet has going for it. The bottom line is that you should use it only if you are desperate to lose weight very fast.
